Archive for year 2006
I finally moved the last bits of information from the old version to the new. This probably won’t mean anything to the visitors, but it will make my life a lot easier for updating the site.
As you can see I changed the layout for the holidays, but it won’t be long. In the next couple of days you can expect a new layout with new features.
Don’t forget to check out the picture gallery and Eiji’s diary. Those have been updated in the last couple of weeks. So enjoy and see you all later next year.
Today Jessica and I went to Antwerp to meet up with her sister and Sammy and Shunka. I was very excited since I like Shunka a lot to play with and I hadn’t seen her since 2 days. Can you believe it? My playmate was gone and I love to play with her the most.
So we started the morning with a walk to the train station. It’s about 45 minutes from my home, but we left a bit earlier so I could sniffle around. I love the sniffle around when it has been raining. Everything smells different and believe me, I love to take my time to do it.
When we arrived at the train station, first thing we did was buying a ticket for me. I don’t know how it is in other countries, but in Belgium you have to pay for your dog on the train. After that, we waited for 10 minutes before the train arrived. After all the passengers got off, we went on. But I’m to scared to jumped on the train myself. Jessica has to carry me.
When we’re on the train, we look for a place were I can lay down on the floor. Since it has been a long time when I got on the train by myself (otherwise Sammy and Shunka are with me) I wasn’t really comfortable and I started sniffing and looking around. When the train started I didn’t get it and went close to Jessica. By doing that I was able to look out of the window and calmed down. So I sat down and looked at the people coming by looking for a place.
When the train made it first stop at Brugge, more people got on and some got off. A young couple came sitting next to us. And I couldn’t believe it. They had these very yummy cookies that I always get when I go to Jessica’s grandmother. So I decided to look at them. Maybe if I keep doing that, I would get one. But no such luck I didn’t get any T-T
When the train stopped at Gent-Sint-Pieter, that couple got of and 2 older women with 2 children came sitting next to us. And they started to eat hot dogs, buns and sandwiches. I wanted a hot dog!!!! But I also didn’t get one. So after like trying for a half an hour I gave up and tried to sleep a bit.
When we arrived at Antwerp, I had to wait for 10 more minutes before I could see Shunka again and then we started to walk in Antwerp together. It was so much fun ^^
I don’t get Xmas. Trees are emerging from the ground at every corner of the street and lots of lights are flickering. So annoying.
You know those Santa Clauses and other Xmas related dolls hang out of people’s windows. You’re seeing a bunch of them in Ostend. I totally don’t get that. I think their is a burglar crime going on!! So to let people know, I start barking to the burglars.
And then there’s that other thing: Xmas pictures. Just the other day, Jessica wanted to make “Xmas” mood pictures of me. She wanted to put it something like a hat on my head. But I won’t allow that. I took the hat and destroyed it in a matter of minutes which included the chasing to get the hat back. It’s just such a strange hat. A little ball at one end that is fun to play with and that the same cotton on the other side. To make it short, I won the fight and played with the head untill it was broken ^^
I have a new hobby: hanging on trees.
During walks in woods and parks I love going to trees. But lately, with the wind, I get a lot of branches from willow trees in my face. So I decided to take revenge.
Now I start pulling on the branches and try to take them with me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
I always loved playing with branches during a walk, but I took them from the ground. Now I decided that there aren’t enough anymore and so I take them from the trees directly.
Just another fun thing to do during walks ^-^
The picture gallery is converted. It took me a couple of days to shift the whole gallery, but it’s done.
You can now find the pictures ordered by year. Just click on the year you want to see the pictures.
There are also 2 new picture galleries added.
The next sections who will undergo a change are “who’s Eiji?”, “the breed”, “his name”, “statistics” and “family tree”. These will be rewritten and, where possible, expanded.
I have more news about Eiji’s diary. With some intensive work I made it a lot easier to handle this section.
From now on you will see the last five entries that Eiji has written. To see older entries, just click on the link under the title that says “See older entries of Eiji’s diary”. With this you will get an overview of the months when Eiji has written his thoughts down. Just select the month you want to see the entries of that month.
The following couple of weeks I’ll be busy making the site easier to handle for you, the visitor, and myself. The gallery is the section that needs the most attention right now. Sometimes it loads very slowly and I personally don’t like it myself that it takes long at certain moments. It’s also a pain to add new pictures to it, so expect lots of picture updates when I tackled the gallery script to simplify it.
But the best thing about these improvements will be that new sections will be added and Eiji will get more active in written his daily life adventures.
Today I went to Walrave with Sammy, Shunka and Jessica. When we just arrived there, I immediatly started to play with Shunka. We had to do some things for Jessica but not eveything ended that great.
Jessica made an overview about that day. If you want to see it, take a look here.
We had lots of fun. Shunka and I kept playing the whole time. I went in water to play with some sticks and I was able to win against Shunka during our games of tag, who’s stick is this and who can bark the loudest.
Sadly there weren’ t many other dogs around and I didn’t meet anybody new. I just love to meet new dogs and people. Sometimes I get yummy treats and I just love to play!!!!
Eiji has been updating his diary. It has been a difficult period with all his raging hormones, but in the end it all worked out very well.
More updates are coming soon.
A keeshond is not a hunting dog. Or so am I told.
Well, I’m here to tell you otherwise. I want to try it too.
Shunka hunts a lot and when I go walking with her, she dissappears a lot to search subjects to hunt. And I think it is a lot of fun, because she does it like always.
So sometimes I like to butt in. One time, she caught a bunny and brought it to me. But she wasn’t very interested anymore, so she left the bunny behind.
So I decided I wanted the bunny. So I took it from her and carried it with me. But after a while Shunka got jealous and decided to take the bunny back. So we were both pulling at the bunny from each side, but in the end I lost. Poor me T_T
