Transformation complete

Posted on 30 December 2006

I finally moved the last bits of information from the old version to the new. This probably won’t mean anything to the visitors, but it will make my life a lot easier for updating the site.
As you can see I changed the layout for the holidays, but it won’t be long. In the next couple of days you can expect a new layout with new features.
Don’t forget to check out the picture gallery and Eiji’s diary. Those have been updated in the last couple of weeks. So enjoy and see you all later next year.

Trains are no fun

Posted on 28 December 2006

Today Jessica and I went to Antwerp to meet up with her sister and Sammy and Shunka. I was very excited since I like Shunka a lot to play with and I hadn’t seen her since 2 days. Can you believe it? My playmate was gone and I love to play with her the most.
So we started the morning with a walk to the train station. It’s about 45 minutes from my home, but we left a bit earlier so I could sniffle around. I love the sniffle around when it has been raining. Everything smells different and believe me, I love to take my time to do it.
When we arrived at the train station, first thing we did was buying a ticket for me. I don’t know how it is in other countries, but in Belgium you have to pay for your dog on the train. After that, we waited for 10 minutes before the train arrived. After all the passengers got off, we went on. But I’m to scared to jumped on the train myself. Jessica has to carry me.
When we’re on the train, we look for a place were I can lay down on the floor. Since it has been a long time when I got on the train by myself (otherwise Sammy and Shunka are with me) I wasn’t really comfortable and I started sniffing and looking around. When the train started I didn’t get it and went close to Jessica. By doing that I was able to look out of the window and calmed down. So I sat down and looked at the people coming by looking for a place.
When the train made it first stop at Brugge, more people got on and some got off. A young couple came sitting next to us. And I couldn’t believe it. They had these very yummy cookies that I always get when I go to Jessica’s grandmother. So I decided to look at them. Maybe if I keep doing that, I would get one. But no such luck I didn’t get any T-T
When the train stopped at Gent-Sint-Pieter, that couple got of and 2 older women with 2 children came sitting next to us. And they started to eat hot dogs, buns and sandwiches. I wanted a hot dog!!!! But I also didn’t get one. So after like trying for a half an hour I gave up and tried to sleep a bit.
When we arrived at Antwerp, I had to wait for 10 more minutes before I could see Shunka again and then we started to walk in Antwerp together. It was so much fun ^^

Xmas what's that?

Posted on 23 December 2006

I don’t get Xmas. Trees are emerging from the ground at every corner of the street and lots of lights are flickering. So annoying.
You know those Santa Clauses and other Xmas related dolls hang out of people’s windows. You’re seeing a bunch of them in Ostend. I totally don’t get that. I think their is a burglar crime going on!! So to let people know, I start barking to the burglars.
And then there’s that other thing: Xmas pictures. Just the other day, Jessica wanted to make “Xmas” mood pictures of me. She wanted to put it something like a hat on my head. But I won’t allow that. I took the hat and destroyed it in a matter of minutes which included the chasing to get the hat back. It’s just such a strange hat. A little ball at one end that is fun to play with and that the same cotton on the other side. To make it short, I won the fight and played with the head untill it was broken ^^

Xmas shopping

Posted on 16 December 2006

It’s that time of year again. Jessica had a lot of problems to decide what to get me for Xmas and most important, my Xmas meal! Finally, she decided to keep it simple this year and I’m going to have some raw meat with Cesar’s Feast Meal for Christmas.
To avoid the rush in the shop, Sammy, Shunka, Jessica and myself went to Tom & Co. to shop. Besides, next to my Xmas meal their was also a need for some treats for training.
She started with putting on my very own… back pack! I don’t like to wear that thing. I want to take it of. It a rare thing to see a dog with his own backpack, so everybody is always watching. But on the other hand, most of the people already look at me, so I’ve gotten a bit used to it. I sometimes even get treats from them ^^
So we then went to pick up Sammy and Shunka which isn’t an easy task at all. Because during the first 5 minutes of the walk, I play with Shunka and go from one side to the other and are making lots of noises ^^ This also makes lots of people stop and look and laugh.
When we’re finally in the shop, we see a briard. So we avoid that ile because the owner of the dog is fitting collars and I don’t want to disturb. So the first stop is the canned food.
Then it’s back to the first ile. There you find all the collars, leashes, snack bones, cookies and toys.
Jessica decided to get my an extra toy for Xmas since I almost torn apart every toy gets I get after like 5 minutes. So she has to find new things to keep me busy. Lucky for me there are some new toys, so she choose one and placed in the basket.
Now for the treats. I needed some snack bones. So she placed some in the basket, which is standing on the ground. While she’s going back to the cookies to choose some training treats and then… Can you guess??? I go in the basket and takes one of the bones!!!
But she discovers it and I have to let go of the bone.
When we get everything needed, we go to the cashier. The moment we arrive at the cashier, I put my paws on top of the table. I always get a cookie or 2 from the person who’s at the cashier ^^
While the cashier was adding everything up, Jessica placed some of the stuff in my pack back. The things that were to big went in her’s. And so we began our trip to home.
