A new section

Posted on 25 May 2007

I won’t say much about it. Just go the Eiji’s information section of the site and check it out yourself. I hope you will all like it and can expect more of this in the near future. ^_^

My very first weekend course

Posted on 21 May 2007

Jessica has told me something that I just can’t keep quiet about. I’m going to my very first course over a week end at the end of June!
In the week end of the 23rd and 24th of June, I’m going on a frisbee course for beginners in Broechem (a city in Belgium). The tutor is rumoured to be very good in frisbee and she’s going to learn us tricks to really start with dog frisbee.
I’m going together with Jessica (that’s a given, otherwise I can’t go), but also with Sammy, Shunka and Katinka.
But I give you my word, I’m going to give a detailed description of the days when it’s that time. I can’t wait!!!
Frisbee, I love to play frisbee ^_^
Oh yeah, btw I went to my second flyball lesson on Saturday. I wasn’t in great shape and had a little bit of problems with the heat. But I’m now a registered member of k-otic and will make shure that every keeshond will be proud to be a kees ^_^

Wallpapers

Posted on 20 May 2007

Since I’ve been taking pictures of Eiji, I’ve been making wallpapers. And I decided that I would add some to the site. You can find them in the gallery.
Also, Eiji’s been writing a lot lately, so if you haven’t been around for some time, check out his diary.

I can't!

Posted on 19 May 2007

I asked Jessica to come with her to her work, but she said I can’t!!!
No…. I’m alone at home without here during the week. But she said that she only had to work for a couple of days anymore for her training period and then she’s home.
Yay for me! This means playing and playing and playing ^_^
But then she said something strange. She said that in 2 week I had to be ready because she’s going to do something to me she has never done before.
Mysterious,…. I wonder what that could be.

I'm not me?

Posted on 18 May 2007

Since the start of the week, I keep getting comments that I’m not my usual self. I’m more quiet, I don’t bark a lot during the day,… in fact I’m very calm and not very like my usual keeshond mood.
During the day, Katinka often comes to get me. Then I play with Shunka and try to involve Sammy but now quite as energetic as I normally do.
But when Katinka doesn’t take me with her, Jessica’s mother goes walking with me. When I’m going with her and we meet people I normally do with Katinka, then they all say that I’m not acting like I otherwise do. Jessica’s mother even thinks that I like going on walks with her. But that’s not true.
In fact, my behaviour has a very logical reason. I miss Jessica during the day. Since she started her training period, she has to go to work from 9 to 5 and during those hours I don’t see her. When she was in school, she was just away for 6 hours at the most and that was just 1 day in the week. And now she’s gone for 8 hours a day, every day. I don’t like that. She has to stay home to play with me and take me out for walks. When we’re not playing or walking, she has to stay be my side and cuddle me.
You know what. I’m going to ask her if she can’t take me with her to her work. By doing that I can still be by her side. You know what. I’m going to wait until she gets home today and ask her. That’s what I’ll do. So bye bye for now ^_^ and pray I get a positive reaction.

Ename

Posted on 13 May 2007

Today there was a walk organised by the DSBC at Ename. Jessica said we would go, but she didn’t say she had a little extra friend with her.
We just left home, when I noticed we first went to Katinka’s house. She got out of the car, ran into the house and came running back with …. Shunka! So I was getting really really excited.
During the trip to Ename I had to behave which was difficult for me because I wanted to play with Shunka. But Shunka and Jessica ignored me, so I ended up giving up.
When we arrived at Ename, we were last. Damn Jessica, can’t she drive faster!? And there I saw some fellow wolfspitzs but also pomeranians. Some of them I knew already, other I don’t. But I didn’t care. I wanted to start the walk. So after a short explination by the guide the walk started. Jessica, Shunka and I were walking in the front of the line, but at some point were very last due to some necessary breaks for Shunka or me to release something ^_^
But in no time we were back in front.
It was a walk from about 5km and it was very hot. Jessica forgot to take the water from the car with her, so I was begging other people for drinks. And I did that a lot ^_^
It was a fun walk, sadly we had to stay on the leash what I don’t really like (I rather run loose).
And today was another special day. It was Mother’s day. Sadly I didn’t see my mother, but I had a little bone for her. So I gave it to her master so he could give it to her ^_^ I’m a good little boy, aren’t I ^_^

Flyball natural

Posted on 12 May 2007

I told you I had a surprise for you today and I did something I never did before. I went to a club for Flyball and had my very first lesson. And it seems I’m a natural.
I’m very enthousiastic and want to take the balls, but I’m still a keeshond so I try to get out of things the easy way ^_^
The first lessons aren’t very long. It’s about 15 minutes. I first had to try to take the ball while Jessica made noise by putting her foot on a bucket. Then I had to take the ball by putting my paws on a case and then turn around. I had to do those things a couple of times.
After that I had to make some jumps to the start point. I had to turn to face the case and had to run and jump to take the ball. But that was a bit difficult for me. I don’t get the whole point yet. So I decided I didn’t want to do it anymore and ran over to Shunka. But Shunka ignored me and then Jessica called me and asked if I didn’t want a cookie.
Of course, I wanted the cookie. So I ran very fast to get it. But it was a trick. I did get the cookie, but then I had to take the jumps again for a final time.
The people of the club said I was doing very good for the first time and had good instinct and that I have the right attitude to do flyball. So next week, I’m going again and do some more flyball!!!!
I wonder, am I the first keeshond in Belgium to do flyball?

Frisbee time!

Posted on 09 May 2007

I’ve discovered a new sport. Frisbee!
Katinka is learning frisbee with Shunka and then she teaches Jessica and me how to do it. I love running after that little disk. Of course we’ve only started and are learning the basics, but it seems I’m a good boy and learn it quickly.
The first thing I had to do is know that I had to take the frisbee and bring it back. No problem for me, because I fetch since I was only 8 weeks old ^_^
But the next thing I had to do was fetching the frisbee while it was rolling over the floor before it falls down. That was a bit more difficult, but I understood the idea very quickly.
So now I’m already trying to take the frisbee from out of the air but not to high. The frisbee is flying quite low to the ground and I try to take it. And the trick is that in time the frisbee flies higher and further away before I catch it.
Can you believe it, me playing frisbee??? Of course, I will try to leave my marks on the disk, but I really like doing it so I will temper myself ^_^ …. a bit ^_~
And that’s not all, this Saturday I’m also doing something new! But I won’t tell now. You’ll have to wait and see ^_^

Thank god for water

Posted on 02 May 2007

With the weather that has been going on for the last month, I’m happy that there is this thing called water.
I’m not crazy about summer and when the temperature rises outside, so does my temperature. I can’t stand heat. I’m more of a winter loving dog who likes the cold.
So to cool of these days, I’m constantly running to little or big water pools the moment I spot them. And if it is possible I take a “dive” to cool of.
But Jessica doesn’t always likes that. Some of the water stinks a bit and as a result, so do I. But I don’t mind one bit. The more smell the better, I say! With this people know I’m coming and can go out of my way when they want to.
But back to water. I’m so happy that I live in an area that you can find lot’s of places were water is available to play in. If I wasn’t I don’t think I would be able to withstand the heat as much. It may be weird to hear this now, but I have to say it.
GIVE ME BACK MY WINTER CLIMATE!!!! I LONG TO THE WINTER!!!
And with this I close today’s little entry ^_^
