Today I went on a trip with Jessica to Antwerp. We do that a couple of times a year to search for specific items that aren’t available in Ostend.
I have to say I love shopping and going to Antwerp is always a treat. It’s a whole day that I can be alone with Jessica without interference of anybody else.
First, we started off going to the station. We took the long route so that I could do my stuff before getting on the train. We went through all the parks and all the calm streets so that I could walk freely around. When we arrived at the station, Jessica first bought a ticket for me (yes, you have to pay for dogs on the train) and then we started searching a quiet place in the train.
Before we left I saw that Jessica had put some cookies in her bag and I started to look very hungry to her so that I could get one. And yay me, I succeeded ^_^
It takes about an hour and a half to get to Antwerp and during this time, it got busier at each stop. There was even a bad person who stepped on my paws. I started growling and barked. Some people were surprised, but hey, that hurts. But Jessica quickly called my attention and I forgot all about it… mmmhhhh cookies….
When we arrived at Antwerp, it was about noon and we first went of to the shops we needed to go. After we got everything we had, Jessica went to buy some take-out. When we arrived back at the station we sat down to wait for the train back to Ostend and Jessica started eating.
But suddenly I smelled something very yummy. And when she was finished, Jessica took out a pig-in-a-blanket and gave it to me. I was so happy and started eating it. People who were passing were laughing. I guess they’ve never seen a dog eating it.
And the way home some other person stepped on my tail (what is it with people hurting me today) and I decided to crawl under Jessica’s seat. I slept under her seat until we arrived in Ostend and then we went back home again.

It’s that time of year again. The final holidays of the year. And I can tell you: I love these days! This means special treats like Xmas cookies, meals with turkey and last but not least: presents!!!
And I already know what I’m getting since I had to try it on. I’m getting my own safety vest for walking in the dark. Some areas we walk are very dark and there are no lights. The few cars and bikes that go through those areas hardly see me and this made Jessica realise that she had to get me something.
But that’s not all I’m getting. I suspect some plushies and other toys.
I’ll go search for them any minute now ^_^
