It was that time of year again. The last weekend of September means one thing: dog tracking for 3 days.
The idea was that we would be more prepared this year so that we wouldn’t have lot’s of trouble. So Jessica packed up my fleece for in the evening and everything else I needed. We were all ready to go on Friday, but then Katinka remembered that we had to had our yearly shot or we wouldn’t be able to participate. So we hurried to the vet to get all the shots necesary.
And immediatly after the vet, we went direction Brussels. We were stuck in traffic for a bit (did you expect anything else), but we were still there on time. We caught up with Barbara and Diena. After extended sniffing, we started the first walk. Just like last year we had to walk 75km in 3 days. Last year we did a lot more because we were lost and had to search or way, but there was an experienced map reader in our team so it went a lot better.
On the first day, there were no problems, but on the second day… Nobody was allowed to touch my back. It was hurting like hell. It was a result of the shots I got on Friday. I think that the vet pulled a mussle and with the long walk after, I started to feel it. I was running and walking without problems, but nobody could touch my back for the rest of the trip.
In the evening I was put on my fleece, but some of the other participants found that very funny and started calling us wimps. But after a couple of hours, Shunka and I were laughing because everybody else was could except for us ^_^
Dispite of the pain of the shots and being laughed at the trip was very good and very exciting and I can’t wait until next year.
