Archive for year 2009

It’s been a while since I posted something on the main page, but I thought it was about time i did.
As you can see, there’s yet again a new layout. Why do I like to change that even though it takes a lot of time? But still, I hope you like it.
There’s still a problem in Internet explorer 6 with the menu, but I’m working on that. But if you can use Firefox, Chrome or Internet explorer 7 or 8.
I’ve decided to make it possible again to place your comments in the guest book.
Lucky, Eiji works a lot more on the site than I do and he has been writing in his diary whenever he wants.
Also, pictures have been added frequently since the last time and I’m using now lightbox so you don’t have those annoying pop ups anymore.

You know how I like water and like to play in it. And that I’m taking swimming lessons at a pool biweekly. Now, I’m taking it a step further. I’m trying to swim in the lake at the woods and it seems to go well.
Katinka has taking me with her on walks a couple of times lately after my bronchitis and we sometimes go to the woods. I was always looking at Shunka swimming after the ducks and it seems she’s enjoying herself, so I finally decided to take chance. And it seems it is easier than it looks.
So today I tried it again and with the hot weather the last couple of days, the water feels really cool and refreshing. I was liking it so much that I didn’t want to stop anymore and I swam four times. After that I had to stop from Katinka.
So I’m now soaking wet and I can’t wait until Jessica is home to tell the good news. And she will be pleased to see that I’m full of leafes and seeds from plants and that she will have to brush that all out ^_^

After a week of taking medicin and taking it easy I’m not coughing and sneezing anymore. I had to take 2 pills a day to get better, but I like to make it hard to take those pills.
The first day I’m willing to take them because I want to check the taste first. After not liking it (that always happens, but you’ll never know that there will be a pill that taste good), I try to refuse to take it for the rest of the period. I don’t open my mouth or if the pill is giving by wrapping something tasty around (like bacon), I eat the tasty bit and spit out the pill ^_^
But Jessica doesn’t give up. If I don’t take the pill like that, she puts her hand around my mouth and pushes the pill in it and then quickly closes my mouth and rubs my throat so that I’m forced to swallow it. I’ll have to find a way against this.

You know how it goes. You see something laying on the ground and it’s really soft and you just want to have it. Well, I had that this week.
The renovation works are done and now Jessica’s mother is cleaning everything very thoroughly. As a result, she has to sit down on her knees sometimes to clean the bottom of furniture. To ease her knees she puts a pillow underneath them. But when she’s not on the floor, the pillow lays around and I started checking that pillow out.
It’s very soft and it seemed very handy when I’m eating cookies or a bone. So when I got a cookie or a bone, I decided to check out how that would help. And the result is… it is very easy and helps me. So know I constantly put my cookies and bones on the pillow and eat them of the pillow. When I don’t do that, it’s also a fun toy to play with.
Ofcourse, Jessica’s mother isn’t pleased with that and always tries to take the pillow away. And she succeeds always. That is just not fair.
On the other hand, while cleaning out the cabinets I’m very curious. So I always end up following Jessica’s mother around and standing in front of her feet to get the best view of everything.
And after a couple of times, she gets fed up with that and when Jessica’s home, she calls for her and demands she takes me out for a walk so that I won’t get on her nerves anymore. I don’t get it. I’m just doing my duty by inspecting everything.

Yesterday I was coughing and because Jessica was worried we hurried to the vet after her work to make sure it wasn’t something contagious for Sammy (I can’t believe he’s almost turning 15 years old).
It turns out that I have Bronchitis and now I have to take pills to get better for a whole week. I’m currently very slow and not my happy self. I sometimes cough some phlegm. Let’s hope it’s all over soon, because I don’t like that taste in my mouth.

Do you remember me telling about BARF and what I like and don’t like. Well,… after some time you do start to try other things.
To I tried to eat horse because Jessica had fooled me by pretending that was all I was going to get. And I did eat it. It is not so bad, but I won’t jump for joy when I eat it. I’d rather eat chicken or beef.
Vegetable mix I still don’t eat, but I do like to eat the raw eggs on a side and drink the milk. In terms of yoghurt I do eat it, but it depends on the brand. My favorite is Danonino, but not the strawberry flavor because that’s to sweet.
I’m still hoping to discover new kinds of delicious meet though ^_^

Can you believe it? I’m already 4 years old today. And this means……. GIFTS and yummy treats!!!!!!
Let’s start with the presents. I got 2 brand new toys: a Planet Dog kong and a “Recycle” ball.
The kong will be used for putting in treats and I’ll have to try taking them out.
The “Recylce” ball isn’t a ball for recycling, but it’s a toy made out of recycled products and should be very strong. But I’ll have to test it to see if that is true.
As for treats, I got a very “yummy” dinner from Katinka: a vegetable mix. How cruel can a person be?
Jessica on the other hand had gone to the shop and bought all kinds of snacks from Pedigree that I love and some chicken jerky. But Jessica things I won’t be able to eat all of those today. I want to prove her wrong by eating them all, but she won’t let me. I have to find a way to get in that cookie jar!

My little sleep over at Katinka’s home hasn’t taken long. After just a couple of days Katinka and her boyfriend decided that I barked to much for no reason and sent me back to Jessica.
How dare they suggest that I bark to much? I’m just a proud little keeshond that wants to let them now that somebody is passing by or standing around there home. I really don’t know what I did wrong.
Oh well,… but in the meantime my allergies are reducing so that’s a good sign. Let’s hope that in a couple of weeks I don’t have to scratch that much anymore.

Yesterday, I wrote that I’m currently staying at Katinka’s house, but I want to go home. I miss Jessica and my sleeping place and our daily routine.
Don’t get me wrong, I like Katinka, Sammy, Shunka, and everybody else in Katinka’s home, but I just WANT TO GO HOME.
When Jessica came by tonight to go for a walk, I was sos happy. I kept asking for her attention and wanted millions of hugs. When we were taking a walk I kept hinting to go home, but it didn’t help. We just returned back to Katinka’s home. There Jessica again didn’t want to go home immediately and kept hugging me, but then she left. Katinka’s door is for half of it in glass so I leaned against the door so that I could keep watching Jessica as look as I could. I wanted to go with her. I’m hoping to see her as soon as possible tomorrow.

… to my home for a while. I got you there. You probably thought I meant that I wouldn’t update the site anymore. But I just like to keep it excited.
My allergy is getting so bad, that Jessica decided to let me stay at Katinka’s house for a week to see if my allergy reduces. If it does, I’ll have to stay there until I won’t be in a hazard zone at home.
Jessica was very reluctant to let me go, but we’ll have to get through this. Let’s hope that reconstruction at my home are quickly finished.
