Embarrass
I’m a very obedient dog (when I want to). Jessica says so, so it must be true ^_^
But as you must now by know, I love a challenge and I created one for Jessica’s parents: I don’t listen to them.
If Jessica is walking around, I follow her constantly. When she isn’t around, I’m mostly just laying around, waiting for her to come back. If she gives me a command, I do it.
But when her parents walk around or give me a command, I just ignore them and I search for Jessica. Or another way I react is that I just start running around and making it into a game ^_^
Just yesterday, Jessica’s father was calling me into the kitchen and I just refused. I sat next to Jessica and I didn’t move one bit. After calling me several times, her father came to get me and then the fun started. I started running around the living and diner table and he just kept following me. And I still refused to go in the kitchen. I kept running and running until I got thirsty and then the game was over.
I can tell you, I’m having a lot of fun being the little devil I am.
During the last 3 weeks, I discovered something new: the stairs. And you know what, I like it ^_^
I love the chase the when the door opens and I try to go to the hallway to run up the stairs. I even discovered the room where Jessica sleeps and that’s now always my first stop.
I especially love doing it when Jessica is still in here room and one of her parents want to go outside. Then I run as fast as I can. And when the door is open of Jessica’s room, I dash inside and jump against here or on her (when she’s still in her bed).
But the sad thing is that I’m actually not allowed to do it. It appears it’s not so good for my bones. And when I run up the stairs I don’t get any attention and nobody wants to play with me. T_T I have to go down again and after that they will play with me.
Today was another day of mischief ^_^ (for Jessica and her parents I mean).
Today was a day I didn’t want to listen to anything and only did the things I wasn’t allowed to do. I was attacking the back door, biting every hand and foot I came along and I found something new: the bin.
I found out that you can find some eatable things in there that I haven’t got to eat before and some of it I like. But Jessica discovered it and kept a close eye on my. And the result is that I won’t be able to get something out of the bin again. She’s clever and she found a way that made it impossible for me to take anything out of it.
Today I also got a new training: being alone for a long time. Since I came to live here, there hasn’t been an actual period of time that I had been alone in the house. When they went somewhere, I always tagged along. So they put my in the kitchen and closed the baby fence. I had to be there all alone and I didn’t want that. So I started crying and barking in hope that somebody would come. But nobody came. Only after a while after I stopped making noise, Jessica came and rewarded me. But then she left again and I had to be alone for 1,5 hour. Because I behaved during that time, I got a delicious bone as reward.
Today was one of those days that I didn’t want to listen to anyone. I kept doing things that would make the parents of Jessica angry. Jessica on the other hand had to laugh with me, because I kept on tempting her parents. I wanted to play with Jessica’s mother’s porcelaine dolls, the table cloths, Jessica’s father’s shoes,…
But on the other hand I’m doing something new. When I’m done playing with my toys, I’m starting to take them to my basket and lay them there. I started doing this because Jessica’s mother kepted placing them there when she wanted to sweep. And now I’m doing it myself ^_^
And now I discovered something new: the stairs! I wanted to go up there because I’m curious what Jessica is doing there. But I wasn’t allowed. Everytime I tried to go up on them they picked me off the stairs. I think I will try it later again ^_^
Since I wouldn’t stay put the last time Jessica’s mother wanted to mop the floor, they decided to give me a daily training for staying put in my basket. They do this because I won’t be put in a bench and instead I have a basket.
But the little devil I am, of course I don’t cooperate ^_^
During the training I keep getting out of the basket. I don’t like the word “training”. I see it more like a game in which they put my in a place and I have to try to escape without them noticing.
The first person who started this “training” with my is Jessica’s mother. After I while I didn’t like the game and started biting her. So Jessica decided to take over and then I was as innocent as a little angel ^_^ So later in the day, Jessica’s mother tried the training again, but again I was a little devil and started biting her. But then Jessica stept in again and started giving her mother some tips of how to train me and now it isn’t that fun anymore. I can’t play the little devil anymore.
Since the vet was on holidays last week, we went to the vet today.
Jessica decided to put my harnass on; because we are going to her sister next week for a sleeping over party and I then I will have that harnass on for a couple of hours while she driving. She uses that harnass to click me on the seat belt, so that I’m also protected in the car.
But I really didn’t like that harnass. I kept trying to pull it of. But it didn’t work. We walked to the vet and during that walk I also had to wear the harnass. It’s just something really strange.
At the vet, there was no one in the waiting area and I kept sniffing around. There are lots of different smells there from animals I haven’t seen yet.
When it was our turn, I was put on the examination table and the vet checked my ears, eyes, coat, teeth, genitalea and tattoo. Jessica is even thinking about chipping me (that scares me a bit, because I heard it can hurt). Then they put my on the scale. For the moment I weigh 3.9 kg. They had to know my weight for the pill I had to take against worms.
It wasn’t to bad at the vet and the veterinarian himself is very gentle.
Today was a day I wanted to see how far I could go before I would get punished. I started with biting the doormat. I used a little disguising trick for this. I pretended to play with my cotton rope and carried it to the mat and then I laid down on it and pretended to be biting in the rope. But of course I wasn’t biting the rope but the mat instead ^_^
When we were out for a walk I refused to go forward and just kept sitting or laying down or playing grass reaping-machine. On when we then finally got back home, I went in a frenzy and run around the living room attacking my toys ^_^
In the afternoon, Jessica had to go to hear grand mother to deliver her groceries and I tagged along. There I sniffed around for a while and then I slept there for the time we were there.
On the way back home I saw a very noisy motor cycle and was a bit scared. But after that I was feeling energetic and decided to start walking like a big dog. Jessica was very pleased with that and she rewarded me time and time again. At home I even got a very taste dog biscuit as a reward for my good behaviour.
But for the rest of the evening there are games to play and toys to attack ^_^
