It’s still snowing and I want to take every chance I get to walk in it. I even found a way to go for a walk when Jessica isn’t home.
I start walking around the door like I have to go very badly. Jessica’s parents pick my reaction up and go outside with me, only to find out that I’ve tricked them in it ^_^
And the best thing is… I’ve been doing for days now and they didn’t notice it until today, but they still go out with me because they can’t be sure if it’s me teasing them or that I really have to go.
Today, I didn’t go to dog school, but stayed at home with Jessica just being lazy. Jessica’s sister had asked us to go check up on her cats, so that they wouldn’t be lonely.
So we went to visit them around noon just after my morning walk. We only saw 2 of the 6 cats, but that was no problem, because some of them like to sleep around. When Jessica and I went for another walk in the afternoon, I just wanted to go to Katinka’s home so badly. And when we arrived there I finally saw her male cat Ravi. I really like him. He always comes spinning against me for attention. And today was no difference. I was so enjoying his company that I almost didn’t notice that Jessica was ready to go home at a certain point and she had to drag me away from Ravi.
Today it was raining outside. I don’t mind that since there aren’t many other dogs outside and I have all the place to myself (and Shunka).
After the walk, Jessica dried Shunka and I with a towel. I was my usual self: continuous turning around, wagging my tale, going from one side of the room to the other, and in the meantime Jessica was trying to keep me still ^_^ After that we got our meal and after that it was time to go to bed. But as always, I search for a cool place to relax first and suddenly I found it. Jessica had put her wet coat on a chair to dry. So the floor under her coat was a bit wet. I decided to lay there. And suddenly I noticed something. Little water drops were falling from her coat on my paws. Every time a drop fell on me, I licked it of. I found that so much fun, that I’m definitely will do that again next time.
When it’s started to get hot and I’ve gone on my evening walk, I always lay down in the hall way to cool down and later in the evening I go to my basket to sleep. I do this in the summer, spring and fall. But lately it’s getting colder in the evening and Jessica’s mother is starting to close the door to the hall way.
Tonight, like always, I went to lay down in the hall and Jessica’s mother didn’t notice that. So when I wanted to go to my sleeping basket I couldn’t go there. After thinking about it, I decided to start scratching the door. Jessica’s mom was startled and didn’t notice where the sound was coming from and had to laugh when she realised it was me.
So from now on, I’m going to have to cool down in the living area.
This morning I had a very romantic moment with Shunka.
I was walking at one side of the park with Jessica and Shunka was walking with Katinka at the other side of the park. Jessica and Katinka didn’t go to eachother, so Shunka and I looked at eachother until we couldn’t see eachother anymore.
After that I looked begging at Jessica, but she wouldn’t let me. I hope to see her later today to make up for moments lost.
Today I was walking with my owner in a park and there were several other dogs there. Since it’s hot today in the sun, I didn’t want to bother with other dogs and ignored them while trying to sniff some places like bushes, leaves,…
One of the dogs that was walking there was a newfounlander and he seemed very interested in me. He even didn’t want to move anymore. But I just walked by him and ignored him. The dog was following me, but I didn’t want to play with him. While I was sniffing at a bit of grass, he suddenly came from behind to sniff at my b*** just when I wanted to mark my territory. I was startled and turned around to look at him. I gave him an angry glance, turned around and walked away. This made my owner and the owner of the newfounlander laugh.
You know how it goes. You see something laying on the ground and it’s really soft and you just want to have it. Well, I had that this week.
The renovation works are done and now Jessica’s mother is cleaning everything very thoroughly. As a result, she has to sit down on her knees sometimes to clean the bottom of furniture. To ease her knees she puts a pillow underneath them. But when she’s not on the floor, the pillow lays around and I started checking that pillow out.
It’s very soft and it seemed very handy when I’m eating cookies or a bone. So when I got a cookie or a bone, I decided to check out how that would help. And the result is… it is very easy and helps me. So know I constantly put my cookies and bones on the pillow and eat them of the pillow. When I don’t do that, it’s also a fun toy to play with.
Ofcourse, Jessica’s mother isn’t pleased with that and always tries to take the pillow away. And she succeeds always. That is just not fair.
On the other hand, while cleaning out the cabinets I’m very curious. So I always end up following Jessica’s mother around and standing in front of her feet to get the best view of everything.
And after a couple of times, she gets fed up with that and when Jessica’s home, she calls for her and demands she takes me out for a walk so that I won’t get on her nerves anymore. I don’t get it. I’m just doing my duty by inspecting everything.
You all know that I do hydrotherapy for fun. Well, sometimes I swim with Shunka, but it also happens that I have a totally different partner to swim with.
No, it isn’t a dog. It’s a human. It’s the baby boy of the owners of the pool. The kid loves water and loves watching the dogs. So his parents tried it with some dogs and apparently there isn’t a problem of the two of us swimming together.
But I don’t always trust him at all. I think he will steal my toys so I always try to take my toy as quickly as a I can and swim to the side of the pool to rest.
You know, dog owners don’t listen to well to their dog and tonight I have proof of that.
Katinka, Sammy and Shunka came to pick Jessica and me up to go for a walk in the woods. So I was very happy and jumping around barking to tell Jessica to hurry up. I just love a walk in the woods. You have those little fluffy things there that hop around and also some other swimming things that I like to chase. So in a nutshell, I was excited.
During the walk, Sammy got a little tired and decided to rest a bit by a children’s playground. On one side you have to playground, on the other side you have water. By the shore there are a couple little boats. And I think you can guess what coming next.
That’s right. Katinka and Jessica wanted me to go in one of those boats. Of course I didn’t figure that out in the beginning and started running around and barking like crazy, because I thought they wanted to play a game of tag. After a while they caught me and tried to convince me to go in the boat. I was refusing and used all of my power to not get in the boat.
Sadly enough I failed and I was placed in the boat. I have to say it wasn’t that bad, but until now I still don’t know why they wanted to put me in one of those boats.
It took one Shunka and some a couple of days to get rid of the annoyance in my mouth. And this is how I did it ^_^
On Wednesday evening Katinka came by with Shunka to visit poor little sick me. And I think you all know me by now. When I see Shunka, I go out of my mind. We started playing like we hadn’t seen each other in years. When Jessica heard what we were doing, she ran to us and seperated us. Afterwards, she was really angry at us. One of the treats got broking during our playtime.
After that I wasn’t allowed to see Shunka anymore. That is until today. I can tell you that I missed her and that when I saw her today, I lost it and become wilder and wilder.
The treats in my tongue are all away now and there is only a little cut at the side of my tongue. Most of it grew together.
But do you know what the worst thing was during all this time? I wasn’t allowed to eat hard food!!!!! Which means: NO COOKIES and NO BONES!!!!!!!
I can tell you I lost weight during this last week and I’m still not allowed to eat any hard food and cookies for a week. This is apparently necesary so that the muscles in my tongue can heal better.
Well, I can tell you, I don’t like that. And I will try to get my way and receive cookies.
