My pad is healing very good. It’s going so good that I’m able again to walk without a sock outside and the walks are long again.
Jessica and Katinka are saying that I’m back being my old self and that I’m acting like a happy-go-lucky keeshond again. During the walks I’m sniffing a lot again, I’m happy whenever I see something or someone, I’m skipping again during the walks,… I’m just happy.
Today I had my first long walk again in almost 3 weeks with Katinka and Shunka. We went to Aarsele to walk in the fields. The walks are for the moment being picked out depending on the kind of ground we’re going to walk on. There are still a couple of spots on my pad that are delicate and so I can’t walk to much yet on very small pebbles for a long time.

When Jessica’s at home, I can walk around without any bandages or socks on my paw. But when she’s not around, I still have to wear a sock. Every evening I now have to wear a sock.
Sunday morning Jessica was happy when she noticed that the sock was a bit wet because I wanted to lick it, but today she was a bit angry. I managed to take of my sock and that sock was soaking wet. And my paw was almost entirely clean even though the hair between my pads was dirty from the ointments and disinfectant. There was a piece of my pad that was a bit loose at the top and now that’s gone. Jessica put some newderm on it so that it would be able to heal faster, put on a really light bandage and a sock so that the ointment wouldn’t stick to the sock.

I love Frolic a lot. I sometimes get it a treat. Shunka is also a big fan of this cookie. But you probably didn’t know that Shunka and I can even understand the description of the cookie.
When Jessica opens a bag of Frolic, she puts them in my cookie jar and I daily get some. But because I’m so crazy about it, I follow everyone who would even get 5m near the cookie jar. Jessica and Katinka sometimes joke about Frolic being a drug for dogs ^_^
But today Shunka and I made Jessica laugh during our evening walk, because she suddenly asked if we wanted a round, orange cookie with a hole in the middle. We both immediatly knew it was about Frolic and started walking faster to get the cookies quicker. Jessica couldn’t almost walk anymore because she was laughing so hard with our reaction. But Shunka and I were very serious and pulled at our leashes to almost speed walk home.

Due to construction works in my street, the whole street has been turned into a sandbox. This and the warm weather increases my allergies and I’m sleeping at Katinka’s house again.
And tonight I decided to restyle Ravi. He came to me to play, but I decided that he needed to look a bit more cool, so I started licking him and by the time I was finished, he looked like a punk rock cat. He as so happy with his new look that he cuddled me and wouldn’t go away anymore.

Sometimes, Shunka and I search for games to play during walks. When we’re walking in a forest it can happen that I take up a stick and start playing with it and Shunka gets jealous and tries taking it away from me.
Today, we found a new game. I started with trying to walk between Jessica’s legs so that she had to stop to untangle the leash and in the meantime give me attention. When we start walking again, it’s Shunka’s time. And then it’s my turn back again. We liked it very much, but after doing it for over 7 minutes, Jessica started saying that we had to walk like dogs.
So then Shunka and I started with rubbing against her legs on both sides so that she would give attention again ^_^ After doing that we both started skipping and kept looking at Jessica until she stood still and gave us a hug.
I’ll have to think of what to do tomorrow during the walk ^_^

Today I went to the Beestjes en Baasjes event at the expo in Ghent. I go there every year with Shunka, Katinka en Shunka to look at the animals and shop around. This year we were accompanied by Hannah and her owner Conny and Diesel and his owner Benny.
We arrived just at opening time so the first hour was very calm and easy to look around. We looked at lamas, miniature horses, owls, donkeys, reptiles,… but weren’t allowed to come to close. I was most interested in the bunnies and the lamas (don’t ask me why, I just think lamas are weird creatures).
There was also a part for cats and dogs. We looked at the cats first, but that didn’t interested me at all. The dogs were a whole other story. We went by Bichons, German Shepherds, Berner Sennen, Chihuahuas,… and then Samoyeds. And there I saw her: Lotus. She’s a young female Samoyed and it clicked between us from the start. I didn’t want to leave her. I just wanted to keep playing with her. During the day I kept passing her and every time we started playing around. And it was the real deal: jumping, turning around,… and Lotus’ owner and Jessica were laughing with us, because we became wilder and wilder as the day progressed.
During the day I got a lot of attention of the other visitors. People were constantly taking pictures of me and asking questions about me. There was an keeshond boot on the event, but when we passed it, we never saw a lot of people there. Shunka and I also got an offer to sign with a company that’s always searching for new dogs to star in commercials and movies, but Jessica didn’t let me sign, because she’s afraid that I might had to go to places that were bad for my hay fever and allergies, but Shunka did sign. So maybe she will become a very famous dog someday ^_^

Today is Friday and since it’s snowing so this means picture time. When Jessica came back from work in the afternoon, we went for a walk at Raversijde.
I love running around in the snow and since I can run around without a leash it means so much more. I can run, roll, jump around in the snow all I want. When I see other dogs it’s like snow is falling again because we’re playing so much that the snow from the ground goes back in the air.
The only annoying thing is that snow keeps freezing in my hair and at my paws so after a while I have to lay down and pull it out of my coat. But that’s a small prize to pay.
Jessica and I have been walking around and played there for almost 3 hours, we just had to much fun there. The funny thing is that after we got home, the report on the news said that it was the coldest day and at the coast it was -13 degrees celcius and we never noticed it ^_^

Tonight during my daily evening walk, I saw a hedgehog walking around. I’ve seen him again a week ago and then he wasn’t as active as today.
I find hedgehogs fascinating creatures. Sadly Jessica won’t allow me to get close to them. He’s very active and he doesn’t even roll in a ball when we’re getting closer. I think he’s just as curious as I am. When we pass each other, we look at each other and after that we both turn around to take another look.
I want to play with him !!!! ^_^

Sometimes Katinka and Jessica accuse me of being jealous of Shunka. And I strongly deny that.
I only can’t stand her getting all the attention and I also want to be hugged and petted. And maybe even a bit more than her. To show how I’m feeling I’m trying to get between Shunka and the person and start barking to Shunka to move aside.

Today was a busy day. First of all, Jessica and I went for a short walk around 9:30. I didn’t get that but it had it’s reasons. When we got back home, she started brushing me. The only good thing about that is that it didn’t take long and the reward I got afterwards.
A little bit after 11 o’clock, Jessica started making her bag. She put water, treats and toys in a bag and me on the leash. We walked towards Katinka’s home, but met her halfway together with Shunka. Then we walked all together in the direction of Zoomart (a pet store). This took us about an hour. When we arrived at the store there was apparently a photographer present and so Shunka and I had to pose. I was ofcourse the best model ^_^
After that, we browsed the store and Katinka and Jessica bought some things. After paying we went direction dog school. The road from the pet store to the school is currently unavailable for cars which meant that Shunka and I could walk freely. I was getting very hot and search for some water. I first found a little water puddle and felt the freshness of the water when I was standing in it. But that wasn’t enough so I decided to go to the other side where there is a small water canal. Oh my god, did that refreshed me!
When we were almost at the dog school, Shunka, Katinka, Jessica and I walking around a bit and played catch in and next to some little pond. Well actually, Shunka was more doing the catching then I but that didn’t bother me.
After a while we went to the dog school and started with the agility. Since Katinka always trained me and not Jessica (she’s always been the photographer) it was fun to started training with Jessica. But since she doesn’t know all the handling yet, I made mistakes. I didn’t think that was so wrong because I got more treats this way ^_^
After agility we went to obedience class. Jessica wasn’t so sure about everything due to the past happenings on obedience classes with me in another dog school, but the trainer was very calm and understood the situation.
After the obedience, a friend of Katinka come on the field with a puppy. I noticed that the puppy couldn’t see so good, so I was a lot calmer with it than I would otherwise. Jessica and Katinka were very proud of my behaviour and gave me lot’s of treats for that. And after this little playing session, we went back home. We were on the roud for about 7 hours and I feel it. I’m very sleepy and now I’m going to bed.
